The #SoulFisch wedding marked a monumental day for District Drones. Not only was it our first official wedding, but it was the wedding day of our Co-Founder Keith Fischer. Keith and his wife Jess share a love for music and chose Bethel, NY, the original Woodstock Festival location as their marriage spot.
The picture seen here was taken by Barry Z Levine from a helicopter back in 1969 during the original Woodstock Music Festival. It shows thousands of the over 400,000 people that attended the event from a view that was only possible by helicopter at the time.
Keith Fischer and District Drones wanted to recreate the image by Barry Levine at the same Woodstock site during his wedding day. This version represents the District Drones recreation of Barry Levine's original shot. If you look closely, you can see the same road gridlines that made up the original picture.
